Here's mine ,it's a 1998 flsts heritage springer annaversery edition.I pulled this picture off the net but i have the same exact bike with 10,000 miles.I bought it new in 98.I might sell it in a couple of months as my have got into sport/touring.WE will see
Sold this Heritage to make room for a new R1200GSA that I have not bought yet. Hope the GSA helps me forget this Hawg that has been a good friend...
OK I am a BAD newbie.....I found this post, responded to it and dropped the ball.....sort of forgot about it.....opps..... I have bookmarked this site.... Sorry for not checking back in.... My next BIG adventure is, hopefully, S. America.......trying to decide between a Ulysess or a BMW.....time for test drives!!! On the questions of a XL for touring....I did it cause it was all I had....I think there are better choices......I know a guy who just picked up a FXR for $6000, running....THAT is a good deal IMHO.....and a better bike for the open road....Don't get me wrong I still love my Sportster.....will never sell it.

A shot of my ghetto glide. Like a few bikes on this list, the front fender came off for painting, and isn't going back. I've seen a few euro-rats with a high front fender made from an old tire, I might go that route eventually. Rubber doesn't rust. Mudd
NOW you tell me! First time this was mentioned I went right to Amazon....great read! As I read about the noise in your primary I kept thinking Compensator nut! Compensator nut!.....Same thing happened to me on the way out west
Here is my buddy Tom on his Fatboy and my faithful 93 sporty. This trip was back in 95. Norway is awesome. This is the almost finished update for 2007.
