Been a while since the last bump, mostly because we rent the cabin like crazy and want to use it ourselves from time to time. Anyway, the next riding season is upon us, so it's time to head to the mountains and get those chicken strips off your tires. :clap

I cover the waterfront in Norfolk Virginia.
Let us know when you are planning a ride up the Blue Ridge.. We have a little place on the Shenendoah in Elkton VA. Good fishing and paddling.
Maybe we can make it down to your neck of the woods some day.

    Hey Grad,
How is the riding in this neck of the woods for January-March?
    Thanks

It is hit and miss in Jan/Feb due to the higher elevations. You could have 60+ degrees (like this coming weekend) or it could be 20 degrees with snowfall. Once March gets here the weather starts to really improve, although I have seen it snow at the very end of March before.

As far as the riding, it is world-class. Deal's Gap is an easy ride, as is the Cherohala Skyway (you can do both in the same day on a nice loop from the cabin). But to be honest, there are so many great roads here in Georgia (many of which are just a few miles from the cabin) that you might not feel inclined to even ride up to the Gap.

would you consider a rental trade- we have a nice one bedroom right on the nyc line-20 mins to midtown, actually 15 on your bike. let us know if you are ever considering a couple of days in the big smoke and we can work out something.

We are all reserved and getting ready to stay at Grad's cabin. Grad made the reservation process very easy with clear and timely communication and the ADV discount, thanks grad, really makes this very affordable.

We are really excited about riding the area and the cabin really looks to be very nice and located right in the heart of some really spectacular riding.
