Canuck Pass, Idaho............... On the US/Canadian, border............... Soloman Lake, Montana........................................ Somewhere back in Idaho..................... Not sure if this will stop a grizzly :eek1:eek1:eek1
What rear tire is that? How many miles are you getting out of it. My 606 is toast, after 1500............... Looking for a longer lasting alternative............... I do NOT want to turn this into a "tire thread" however If you know what I mean Just asking about THIS particular tire
I just replaced a set of D606, noisy even thru earplugs. These are Kenda K-270. This is the rear one at 4634 miles (I ride like ). Some have said the Kendas are wiggly, but I didn't notice until the front one was nearing bald and I was experimenting with raising my forks in the triples for a quicker turn in at the same time. It was also mentioned that the Shinko 244 has a heftier shoulder knob and looking at pics, it does. So I'll be trying a Shinko rear next (just mounted a Pirelli knob on the front). Kenda K-270 (5.10-17) I wanted to post this anyway.
It's the switchbacks extreme west end of Mineral road. It was raining super hard and the road was in the process of falling down the mountain. We were the last ones across before it fell.
They messed up a perfectly good water crossing....... Beware of the security system: The nice creek crossing was being replaced with this:
My turn. Here are a few pics from earlier this summer messing aound in central colorado. One day I was bored and had some time so I rode from colorado springs over to Leadville via Mosquito pass. I returned home via Weston pass and explored around the Tarryall area before calling it a day. Here are the Pics. Don't be hatin' on my storage bin. If you do its cause your jealous. The London Mill The top of Mosquito Pass The top of Weston Pass Tarryall Area Tarryall Looking east towards Pikes Peak A big hole in the ground And a couple other random pics from the the ride
Some pics of my 09' I got late last year with 24 miles on the odometer.. Rode 160 miles today, a little weekend trip.
Got a staple thru the T63, far from home. Started raining/sleeting. Fixed the tire. Then flopped it 3 minutes later. Fuck you Murphy.
Hey, better you than me. Glad to see you had the tools and knowlege to fix it. OBTW: I know Murphy too. The sunny part of Colorado. Gee, I wonder where that road goes? Oh, lookit. (For you learning photogs, I used the fill flash to highlight the DR, instead of getting a black silhouette.)
Long time lurker, first time poster. Here's my 2011 DR650. 10 onths old & I got it with 1400klm on the clock. I've cut the rear fender a bit & gave it a bit of a make over. Also added a LED daytime running light to the front so people will see me a bit better. Love the site. Cheers, Mike.
