Pisgah Forest Ridin'

I rode some of the same stuff in the summer . Bet it was more fun when cooler. And I think you'll agree , Mark kicks ass in the sand. I got a new helmet for that hot weather .

Yup, I try not to get below 1500' in the summer anymore. Told Mark I'd have to wait till winter to be able to stand it riding down there. It was a blast, high of 60. Perfect! An Mark kicks ass everywhere. At the tag rally he took that 650 (on 50/50s) through places I struggled with on the 450 (on knobs).

Yup, that always amazes me, he just seems to make it flow. Not a talent I possess.

Todd, we missed you, assuming you had to work? I still haven't seen Tigger in the flesh.

Got out again yesterday with strongmendieyoung, ktmMike, an advtenn. Jimmy, a firefighter from Mars Hill, an his son joined us. Hopefully some more of y'all will get to meet them at the Nottarally.

We left Hot Springs an went to Viking Mt.





On the way back down, almost got the tower.


I need to go back here on the little bike.

Then just a whole bunch of running around.

Jimmy said he was ringing that XT250 out keeping up on pavement but I was wishing for a smaller bike on the gravel.
No pics from that I was to busy holding on.

While we were at Viking Mt. we discussed going after the NC Tag. We had passed the end of the road it was on an I thought we had gone right by it. We got back on 208 an cut over to 212, the right road, an went up to the AT crossing at the Tenn. line. No luck. So back down an still didn't see it. We turned off 212 an wandered around in Revere an Sodom an ended up in Marshall for lunch.



Pickled egg an a pickled sausage. Your a braver man than me Mike!

After lunch we headed back to look for the tag. South:huh, then north through Petersburg, back on 212 we finally found it. Maybe!

OK, so now where do we put it? We had stopped at the church on Big Laurel an Walnut Ck. an discussed that because it's on such a good road. Then advtenn suggested the Party Boss's driveway. I told him that had occurred to me, but I wasn't sure it was in good taste. We all decided since it was a group effort it would be fitting. So after we finally found what we thought was the tag off we went.
