Can anyone tell me how to book a hotel for the Hellas Rally through the Organisation??

I have my flights booked and done, just need to get the hotel sorted now.

    Cheers,
    Ollie

You have to fill out a form, fax it off then pay by bank transfer. far easier to just use booking.com (we're all in the hotel afroditi in nafpaktos)

I notice a few people are doing this event on older 520 exc's, could you tell me if the standard tank has enough range for this event? I have a 520 exc I am now thinking of doing the event on.

    Thanks Lee.

The 520 has a standard fuel tank of 8.5ltr? You need a 150km fuel range, so I think you need a bigger fuel tank or a small extra tank.

True, I've fitted an 11 litre Clarke tank... something like 3 gallons IIRC, and not compatible with radiator fan kit.

With a conservative throttle hand (Lord knows the 520 needs it) I can get up to 170kms till dry.

Thanks, So I would need at least another 3 1/2 litres, have to see what I can come up with.

Ollie are you gonna race the 350?

And a tip: get rid of the original number plate. Scan it and print a smaller scale of it on laminated paper.
(Mine is barely 10x10cms). Those sharp metal edges give me the creeps...

Yes, I'm on the 350. Great bike, looking forward to see how that works in a rally. It misses some top speed compared to a 450. I'm taking different rear sprockets (48/50/52). Last ride was with 14:48, could do a comfortable 110 km/h, but missed a bit of power. Going to start with 50 on the rear I think...

Laminated plates are not allowed by race organizations and ofcourse police in the Netherlands. I'll see if I have some time left to make a laminated plate..

    HellasRally,

Any luck with the Route explanation as below?

    thanks

PS - do we have to provide fuel canisters to the organization? or will all the refueling be in gas stations?

Newsletter with all info tonight to all participants

Refueling in gas stations, canisters necessary in the bivouac and will be transferred by organization only in case one gas station shows incapacity of quantity supply in some small villages.
In the regulations it is clear that you need 150klm of capacity, this does not change.
Maximum distance per a tank is 144klm.

I was told a 690 will have enough fuel for this event with just the standard tank, Do you need the front tanks?
