I lost my 13 year old Bassett "Muddy" 2 years ago.
I have "Daisy" (along with my non-Bassetts Kodi and George) who's going to be 7 this June.
I have to get them all into my Ural and post some pictures.
    Thanks.

Ever get an answer for this? Got a 66 kilo newfie and I was thinking of getting a Ural to put him in. Think he would fit?

I am 6'4" and fit in mine. You might have to remove the seat and pad the floor to make him more comfortable or make a padded box to mate up against the seat to give him a level platform.

I'll pick up my first hack next week (08 Ural Patrol) and am wondering if any of you have tips for how you got your dog into the sidecar? I have a 2 year old golden retriever and he's not skittish per se but I think he's gonna have some issues with just jumping in for a first ride. Thanks/mark

Any experience riding it yet? Else bring nobody on your first rides:wink:

I think it might be best to make the first rides with somebody in the sidecar he likes and trusts. Might be a bit cramped but that person can make him feel at ease and avoid him trying to jump out. Ride can be short, but it's always a good idea to go somewhere he likes for a bit of play or a walk. That way the hackride will be associated with doing nice things.
Remember you only get one chance to screw it. The dog must like the ride. Force won't work and you will both miss a lot of fun

I fed my dog in the rig to get her excited about the space. If your pup is large you can take the bottom seat out and put in a flat dog bed so she feels more secure. I also pushed the rig around with the motor off (and the dog in) to give her a feel for it without the noise at first. Take small steps and be patient. My dog jumps in now when she hears the bike start.
Good luck and have fun. - p

I just have a strap around the back of the seat, carabiner to clip to pooches seatbealt lead. I also have a leather lead tied off in trunk fead though the seat side for additional point. Been 2 years now and they really don't need them but I still hook them up. Doogles ther not happy about but endure them for the ride.
