Now I need a manual, taillight lens and the usual stuff barn bikes get. Hoping to keep it on a tight budget, some cheap tires are near the top of the list.

    Sweeeeeeeeet!

I was hoping and hoping that poor lil' Suzuki would find a nice home.

Every time something like that pops up around here, it looks like it's been dragged under a truck, the title has been lost, and some eedjit wants $1,200 for it.

    Do us proud... :lurk

I watch "Wheeler Dealers" on TV, lots of haggling tricks if you pay attention.

A cheap Sporster muffler to replace the rotten one, a tweak here and there and she doesn't run half bad.

Having some clutch issues and the lighting is fubar but otherwise I think I done good.

Don't get me wrong, commuting on that beats a cage any day. I'm just saying I wish they'd thought twice before making that particular model in the first place.

It's nothing personal. I just think it's ugly.

Hey, that is personal - can't get much more personal than that! :lol3

Me, I think that's a pretty cute little bike! (just my personal opinion)

I used to think BMWs were pretty odd looking and didn't even consider owning one because of that. Even after I grew to love them (and their looks) it took quite a while before I could see through the homeliness of the GS.

So I won't take it personal that you find them ugly. What did concern me was that perhaps you knew of some major fault with them as a reason to not own one. Ugly is a whole 'nother matter.

Well, I'm with you on that. In younger days, I could NEVER see the beauty in old airheads, especially the early ones. The older I get, the more that changes. Hell, I OWN a GS. So that says something. Maybe in time I'll even learn to appreciate bikes like this and the Rebel.

But I doubt it.:D And nope, don't know a thing about them.
