I did the same thing to my Pro-tech and was sick about it. The other day I went to favorite gun store and saw a sign for knife sharpening. I showed the knife to the tech and he said he would try to fix it. I'm thrilled that he did and it's never been so sharp. All I know is that he used a belt sander and did a great job.

I've had one of these for thirty years, they've quadrupled in price and added a goofy plate on the side. Not the best for knife making, but a pretty nice machine.

Forgive me if this is 205, but I don't see any mention of it. Bark River now has Goloks for sale again. I don't know how long they've been available, they weren't the last time I checked with them a couple of months ago, but I got their email flyer today and they had a bunch, so I've got one on order. Can't wait to see it. I'll post a couple of pics here when it arrives.

I got it, snapped a few pics of it while still pristine, and then promptly put it to use doing some spring pruning around my house. Very effective nice knife. The blade is 11" and the grip 6" for an OAL of 17". Solid and nicely balanced. I'm definitely going to use this one.

That Golok has a nice narrow flat grind (or possibly a convex grind). The Condor Golok I bought last year has -- and I'm not exaggerating -- about a 40* flat bevel grind. It's really, really a fat edge. I'm considering regrinding it to be a more standard 25*.

Actually, I'd be out finishing it this weekend, but I cut my thumb, and it's an important thumb for finishing what's left.
