You had to travel out-of-state, to buy a bike from Lomax? :rofl

Good thing we practiced some snow riding last week, Blake.

Too bad I wasn't practicing with a heavier bike. :p3rry
I want to ride that loop in Spring :nod

Still just raining here, damned tempting to load up and go... but where? The snow/big weather line is <20 miles west and slooowly working it's way here. Best I could do is get farther from home.

I don't know about that. I think I would sit tight and enjoy the tube or crackle.com. The low causing the ruckus seems to be just sitting still over Amarillo and points to the NE. The old Dodge diesel make it around the neighborhood in 2 wheel with all the drifts so that was good. Shoveled my FIL's driveway and front porch with 2 foot drifts.

I figured out my old Arctic Cat once, is was like 10 mpg if I was not on the gas. It wil pull a sled, I still use it to feed with. Old car hood for a sled, and 10 hay bales, so about 750 lb in hay and 50 lb in the hood. Just find some gas cans and an old sled and a car hood and you are good to go!:lol3

Driving me batty waiting for it to work it's way 20 miles east :bluduh
Word was it would be on top of me last night - so I hunkered down... nothing but rain here all day.

If I knew I had all day of rain I would have ridden south an skirted south and west...which means I'll wake up to 8" of snow. Feels like i'm waiting to get snowed in now

Still closed here in Amarillo and some distance eastward. I am with my FIL just south of I-40 and we had 15" snow and 65 mph winds. I cleaned the driveway and walk and went to Home Depot nearby to buy him a snow shovel and got stuck in the entrance road in the Dodge diesel 4x4. They had not plowed the turn into the store and it was about 2 feet deep and slushy. Anyway a snowplow driver pushed me on through when my Dodgie couldn't hack it without putting chains on. All the employees were coming in a far side entrance road that had been plowed for their 4 hour shift at the store, which closed at 4 pm.

I've seen as low as 1mpg ... heavy wet mashed-potato spring snow, three feet deep... that was a weird day. :lol3 Burned through the 11-gallon tank in 13 miles of riding. :eek1

Ripping down the trail you can see 12-15 if you're easy on the throttle.

That is pretty. I have a new (NOS?) one of those broken latches laying around, but no more airhead. If you'll be at the Captain's BBQ you can have it.

Edit: my latch isn't broken. You know what I mean.

I'm a bit surprised Blakebird hasn't sold his new BMW on CL already, free shipping quotes to Colorado....or a long term test ride?

    Blake,

So are those lines on the headlight a defroster or what ??

    :hide

I just had to ask as I have been asked many times in the past. :lol3

And he better not sell it until we at least get to ride together on the RS's.
