Hi everyone! I haven't posted anything for several months now. I am a fairly new rider, and I bought a DR200 back in July. I only posted one picture of it since I was unfamiliar with posting photos. At the time, I was in California for work, but on the 30th of September, I loaded up the 200 on a trailer, and headed homeward to Minnesota and The One I Love. He met me at Mt. Rushmore on his BMW F800GS

We stayed there for a day and rode a bunch of logging roads up in the Black Hills. The weather was so beautiful. It was the beginning of October, and winter hadn't raised it's ugly head.

Now, I'm back in Minnesota. Since I've been home, The One I Love and I have gone for a ride almost every day. There are a lot of gravel farm roads around Minneapolis, and we've tried many of them. Until about 5 days ago, the weather was pretty nice. Then,

The riding I had been doing with The One I Love was making me think......he has the BMW F800GS and a Suzuki DR650. Has anyone ever tried to keep up with one of those on a DR200? It ain't easy. I started to think I needed something a little bit bigger. Not much....just a tad. Anyone know Beagldog? She had a BMW F650GS 2007 model that she wasn't going to ride. It only had 14 miles on it, and she was only a few hundred miles down the freeway in Kansas City. Guess What?

I couldn't help myself. I had to have it. I NEEDED it. I mean, don't get me wrong, I LOVE my DR200, but I had to keep up with The One I Love. I couldn't slow him down, could I? So it was really for him that I bought the 650. Yeah, for him. I got to ride it yesterday. The pavement was dry, but the temp was 40 F. I just about froze. But I had fun! I wanna ride again! NOW! but today the temp didn't break 33 F. I have heated grips and electric jacket, but I don't think that's quite enough. I'm hoping the temp goes up at some point so I can ride once more before closing the garage door for the winter. Just once more.

Aw, two great little planes. I've been to OSH once, the weekend after I got my license, in 2005. Would love to go again. First I have to fly to Alaska though .
