Two 1994 Elefants at the moment.

Lucky Explorer, rough around the edges but set up for off road - Surus
Burgundy and black, immaculately preserved and well maintained commuter - Ruby

Surus was Hannibal's (Not the A-team, ya cretins) war elephant, the only survivor of the crossing of the Alps to sack Rome.

Ruby is an elephant that paints. She's got class and culture. ha ha.

My 650 V-strom goes by the name Athena, as my strom is a bit like the Greek god.

Never really "named" my bikes, but they have been called names.......................
I do refer to my 07 Ural Patrol as my "pet troll", a term of endearment, it has become my all time favorite bike.

My wifes cars are always named "it".
    You know,

    Fix "it"
    Wash "it"
Get the groceries out of "it"
    Check the oil in "it"

    I hate "it" :norton

A few times I've referred to my bike as a "short-skirted harlot." V-Star Customs have shorter fenders than Classics, thus the moniker.

I think naming inanimate objects is stupid, and yet I still wind up doing it.

My bike is "The Mighty KLR" because it seems to be indestructible.

My '79 Austin Mini 850 is "Cecil", named after the tortoise in the Bugs Bunny Cartoons. 37hp but faster than you'd suspect.

'65 F100 pickup is simply "Big Red", because it's both big and red.

Haven't really named my BMW race car yet, but it needs some kind of feminine slut name because she likes to be beat on mercilessly and asks for more.

My girlfriend refers to her KL250SF as "Thumper". Therefore she's started calling my Vstrom 1000 Bambi. 'Cos Bambi is Thumper's friend.

My AX-1 is known as "You Bitch" or "Good Bitch" depending on the day.

The KTM EXC was named by my wife "Moto Skuit, skuit" - "crazy bike" in English.

    The DR is "Durr"

Unusual for me to use those names with other people.

This isn't all of them- some of them didn't stick around long enough or have enough personality to get named.

'82 Virago 920: El Diablo (technically La Diabla is probably more correct? The bike was evil and female.)
    '93 Seca II: Reba
    '85 FJ1100: Maverick (Kept writing checks I couldn't cash)
'00 KLR650: BGDPB (Big Green Dual Purpose Bike)
    '01 Aprilia Falco: Bettie (Page)
'04 FJR1300: Bongo (From Matt Groening's Life in Hell comic strip, after a [former] girlfriend near sideswiped me and took off one mirror.)
    '83 Maxim 550: Zippy
    '06 DRZ400SM: Bart (Simpson- "IDidn'tDoItNobodySawMeDoItYouCan'tProveAnything")
'12 Tiger800XC: The new hotness hasn't told me it's name yet.

There's an '89 VTR250 that may be Crockett; I've never really ridden it.

    Wife's bikes:
'98 Seca II: Pinky. (It was black... ?)
'97 VFR750: Mae West (She thought it was top heavy)
    '06 Speed Four: Birdie

Her (white) '06 Toyota Yaris is "The Egg"; the '97 Camry with 240k miles that preceded it was the POSie.

Sorry. My dog and my three turtles have names. The machines, as much as I love them, do not.
