I think Honda should just go ahead and rename that bike the FB6 since NO ONE gets it right. :lol3 Not that it bugs me or anything...

I would go with the one that has the footpegs in the correct position (below seat). 70mpg would be great, but I think for less $ I would go with the 15 more HP, 2500 more rpm, and 1 more front disc that is offered on the Versys.

    You picked the wrong one.

Someday soon, before I go all old-man-guzzi, I'm going to own one of Triumph's 675 triples. :nod

    Here's my short list.

    Guzzi V7 Stone
    KTM690
    Triumph Thruxton or Speedmaster
    CB1100
    EX300

It's really hard for me to pick. I have a 919 now and it's so perfect that any bike I choose will be lacking in some area. There's no clear upgrade.

But it does sort of lack character and it's not a twin. My perfect bike has to be a single or a twin.

The Triumph "Street Tracker" thread is very interesting too.

Naah, I like the 675 but I'd pick the least track oriented 600 if I was in
the market for one. That used to be the CBR or GSXR, probably is the
    new 636 now.

The 675 costs more here then the GSX-R 750, and almost as much as some 1000cc bikes.
    That won't fly.

I figure the whole point of a 600 SS is getting a track oriented one. :lol3

I have the impression you and I could sit around over a couple dozen beers, and not agree on one single thing. :fitz It'd be fun though.

This morning, as six inches of snow falls on my fair city, I want one of these:

I'll never ride on a track, but I would appreciate top of the line (or close)
brakes and suspension, just would like it moderately comfortable around
    town and for light touring.

There's supposedly a huge difference in comfort between some of the
    600's.

    I've ridden only 2004 636 - that's no good.
    Tried a 2008 or so CBR1k (blade) - that's even worse.

But people keep telling me that 2006-08 CBR600 is very nice, and
most say that GSXRs are the most comfortable for normal riding
    (any of them).
