That will get some attention. I was torn about buying a "fake" or "homage" watch but if he owns the name and sets out to rebuild the brand I think he'll find even more support. Thanks for the info.

Well, I think there's a huge difference between hommage and fake. A fake seems to usually use the same name as the original while a hommage retains the look.

Face it - just about all watches are a hommage of each other. :augie

Oh yeah, I totally agree. How many current watches are "inspired" by other watchmakers who were inspired by those before them. Just sayin' now that he owns the rights to the Tornek-Rayville brand a certain percentage of people who may not have purchased a MKII may be more likely to buy. In theory no downside just and extra XX% of buyers.

Stunning. Been a fan of the black, on black, on stainless... since I first watched Goldfinger as a boy.

I prefer the Sub without the cyclops and date. The Seadweller appeals to me too.

I like having the date on a watch. I also like have the day of the week on my Seiko. Sometimes I can't remember if it's Wednesday or Thursday. I don't like magnifiers. The date should be big enough to read without it.

I'm generally in agreement and my beater Seikos are always date dialed.

I do think the lines and dial of the Sub are spoilt by the cyclops though. I have the LV 16610 but I'd swap it for a Sea Dweller.

I agree. Plus, I'll bet that watch is far superior in quality to pretty much any true FAKE. I do own a fake Rolex only because I also own a real one and sometimes wear the fake when going where Id like the wear the real one but am worried about it for some reason.

I am starting to really want and like square and recatangular watches. I think it is about time to buy one.

I like the almost-sepia effect. Shoulda brushed the gunk outta the slide serrations.
