    We've got 3 of them.

Keep an eye on the blade to hubdrive brackets, all of ours developed stress cracks after a year.

They came and fixed 'em under warranty though.

These are pics of the 20 101 and 82nd airborne pathfinder units that led the Normandy invasion. Pics of each plane with crew and unit. The were first in and set up radio and spotlight markers for the rest of the airborne.

..and yet another demonstration that even slight alterations to the lines of the original P-51 produce a totally different aesthetic. That cowling and canopy are...well...fugly, and the seating position seems high and forward relative to the original.

Neat idea, but I just don't care for the canopy, nor the finish on the canopy, and spinner...

Agreed it doesn't look right. There have been some Turbine ones, I think its a papa 51 that are real good looking replicas.

Ah, the "Enforcer"...neat concept but a no-go with the Air Force.

"It's a good cheap/cost effective design..... but doesn't have this GIANT gatling gun!!"

    :lol3

Bringing up the enforcer reminds me of this.

Pretty much the same attitude they had about wanting to scrap the A-10 just before it opened up whole cans of whoop-ass in Desert Strom.

    "It's a cheap/cost effective design.....but doesn't have all the high-tech bells and whistles!"

Now that crop-duster turned butt-kicker has some promise.

I never realized the Air Tractors are as big as they are. I figured they were about half their actual size.

I'd like to see one do some strafing runs.

It sure would give a whole new meaning to "dusting crops", that's for sure.

With the prevalence of truck mounted AA guns I'd really rather be in something faster and armoured. :lol3

Yeah, we have them work off our airport occasionally instead of having longer ferry flights between their base and the fields that they're spraying. The 802 has about a 60 ft. wingspan and you really don't notice it until he taxis toward you on an 80 ft. wide taxiway. Then it all clicks...bigger wing span than a King Air 200!
