I'm riding up to Darwin from the Pilbara with 1 or 2 other WA lads. Then riding back. Can't wait for July.

$400 a day with someone carrying your stuff, free swag, free mechanics (if needed highly unlikely). Medical back up which is fairly handy as you get older, some meals and accomodation, GPS tracks supplied, not bad really. Night out before and after.

I agree with podge it's not bad value. I really started the thread to see who was going and from how far afield. I can't wait to do a bucket list ride with great support. I've only got enough time off for this ride this year. Maybe I can do the two laps when I have long service leave.

I really so much wanted to do this. I initially thought it was a little expensive. (I was going to say dear, but couldn't stand the Bambi jokes). But in hindsight it really isn't all that expensive, it ain't cheap either. But unfortunately other events have sucked my cash away like a politician with an expense account. Have a great time you lucky bastards, and suck shit all you detractors.
