I like the way this bike looks. Did this bike come from the factory like this?

The fender came off of an 89 Honda Transalp that I found on fleabay($40 total if I remember correctly). It is mounted to the fork brace by means of a couple of very simple and sturdy brackets. What took some time was to measure, remeasure and then making the cuts required to make it fit without ruining the piece. It helped that the fender has some sturdy mounting tabs. With that mod the bike goes on the highway a lot better. It does not get tossed around like it used to.:D :D

It's a flotation device that deploys if you get into water too deep, keep water out of the carb. A "must have" if you off road.

It would seem that most every KLR owner is a wannabe inventor...This is necessitated by our ultra cheap genetic make up! We likely all have at least one item for our bike or in our gear from the Thrift Store:rofl
I admit I never get tired of looking at KLR pics, so here is mine to add to the stable...keep the thread going!

I put them on and tie my one man tent to them...but when I am camping they are very handy for hanging jackets, towels, etc... I put that cheap plastic box (Action Packer from Wally World) and thought I would just try it for the season, but this will be the third year for it! Works great!

Necessity is the mother of invention.

If it doesn't exist, a KLR rider will invent it.
