What's the best way to touch up the plastics?
Is there a special type of paint I should use?

Do other model wheels (rims) fit xmoto ?

it's rumored the Aprilia Pegaso Strada share the same front and can be swapped with no special fittings needed.

What about the rear wheel are they interchangeable ?

any other bikes using the xmoto wheels ?

    just wondering!! - cheers

Thanks for the link. One more ?, It looks like there are two different sized brackets. If a person were to order two brackets, is there one that holds an MSR bottle better than the other?

    Thanks again.

Yeah, actually the bigger one works better. t's been so long since I did it, that I can't remember which one that is. If anyone still has their cannister around they might be able to chime in here and tell you if it is the upper or lower one.

put the bigger on on the top. I found that if you cut a little of the rubber gasket out it fits better. Also if you reverse the bolts and use wing nuts and lock washers you will find it eaiser to use the bottle when needed. good luck .. I will take picks tomorrow.

I'm going to pull off the rear pads to investigate a loud squeal that has developed. The setup on the x is different to what I'm used to, does the pad retaining pin punch out? Do I have to remove the wheel?
    Any advice would be appreciated

The retaining pin punches out from inside the wheel in the direction of outside the wheel, if that makes sense! Right to left as you look at it from the back of the bike, it needs a gentle tap to get it moving, and yes you will need to remove the rear wheel.
I had the same problem with my rear brake squeeling pretty loud, it seemed to be whenever the bike had been anywhere near wet mud.
When I fitted new rear pads I put a dab of copper grease on the back which in all honesty didn't make a great deal of difference.

the caliper hole sizes had me thinking left to right. I'll try the reverse!

I did mine last week and the pin pushed out into the centre of the wheel and I didn't take the wheel out!
Perhaps the UK bikes are different to the USA's

Im also not removing wheel to exchange brake pads. Pin should be removed by using some pinch and hummer in smaller hole (as far as I remember - from outside into wheel hub)

    Regards

Shit, sorry man, I was giving you wrong advise from memory, I have checked my bike today and you take the circlip off and then give it a tap from the left side (must have confused retaining circlip position and direction of pin)
I took the rear wheel out as I couldn't work out how to get the new pads into the caliper without damaging anything else.

New aftermarket pads stopped the squeal in the rear immediately. The BMW shop tried to stop it with brake grease on backing plate and sanding the pads but it came back straight away.
