In early October I rode the OBCDR from south to north. It was a long seven day ride under miserable conditions. Did it with a GS, however I think a 650 would have been easier and perhaps more fun. I have a bunch of routes and waypoints, but since most of those were purchased I didn't include them in the file. These are the tracks I recorded at fairly low resolution due to lack of space. There are some places that deviate from the "official route". Also, there are a few blackout patches from wet tree cover and a loose antenna on my 276C. Here's the trip report to go with: Oregon Disco
Thanks so much Rick-------I'm addin' it to my collection---never know when my ship will come in and I can get out there and ride it. Man you guys suffered a lot.
Thanks a lot! I live in Eastern WA and have been wanting to explore the upper right corner of Oregon. Your track will be useful in planning my future trips. Do you have any other tracks from that part of the NW that you would like to share? John Davies Spokane WA
http://www.gpsxchange.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2224 Here? Guess I need to figure out how to download from that site since I dont see any download link to click ... maybe its just me, or we need to register first ...?
And there is the answer to my question. Membership The rule: you upload 1 track log or Route onto a forum and after that you will be able to download. You will not be able to download files until you upload one. Don't send request to be added to the group until you upload a valid file. It will be denied. I check all the files content for group authorisation, a file with a few waypoints will not do.
OK. I wasnt able to get past the demonic registration system either, but I will give it another try today.
Yes I do. I have system for CA, NV, OR, and some of WA plus CDR, PCQ, and working on GWT http://www.gpsxchange.com/
Sorry, I'm late to the party: You can get R-dubb's file to work by eliminating the .xml file extension (leaving the .gpx) and then importing it into Basecamp. Double click on the individual tracks (left side menu) and they will display.
Or just go to my file on GPSXChange.com and it has all the routes ( 3, 4, & 5) and should open with no problem. http://www.gpsxchange.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2224 This could be it but may not be latest. If anyone has any newer Active Logs from newer GPS units, I will substitute them.
