I have tracks for the Death Valley loop we did from Gold Point if that helps. I also have many tracks for Death Valley in general.

the jeep guys warned us about the road condition ahead. there are 2 big ledges to get over. i didn't have problem clearing the first one, but i have so much speed and didn't have the time to stop at the top. front tire went into a hole. game over for me!

    Hello,

Got a late start on my dr350 from the OC on Fri. Yes, I know, way late.
Decided too late, dark, to go to GP so went to Panamint Springs. At least no flats this time. Pulled in and looked deserted but saw some bikes. Rode over and hit the Motherload. There was Jay, Brad, Alex, Gary, (Honda rider on a Klr) and Shannon who came in from Texas. They said come over and before I could get my helmet off I had a beer in my hands. These guys know how to camp.
Lots of Barley Therapy, Sausages on the smoker, (pulled pork next night)XLN't, and lots of laughs and stories. All live close to me also. Rode through Titus and up Darwin next day. Had a great time and hope to ride with them again,
Noob Rally?? Thanks again guys, much appreciated the hospitality. Will leave earlier next year as the photos of GP looked great, especially water crossings.
Will see Joel and the rest at the NoobRally.
BTW did anybody take the closed Trona rd?

Rob and I left Corona, CA Thursday morning around 9:30 am. We wouldn't arrive at Gold Point, NV until approx 4:30 pm.

The drive was pretty mellow except for a CHP officer pulling up to us as we were already pulled over the side of the 127. I'd just finished taking a shit over that hill and was several paces from making it back to the truck. LoL He asked if everything was alright, I gave him a cool :thumbs and he took off. :lol3

We pulled in around 4:30, setup camp, went to dinner...then drinks...then told some lies...more drinks...then went to bed. Sorry no pics.

Joel showed up Friday morning as planned and we we're all excited to finally ride. Today, we're headed to Death Valley.

    Rob...

The main group had left around half an hour before us. I had tracks to DV I found on gpxchange. These tracks didn't help us on the ride out. Some of the roads just weren't there so we winged it and just headed west.

I just got back from Jarbidge Nevada and am planning a group street ride for the first time to Gold Point on Nov 2nd, followed by Death Valley.

Great Info here, I'll share it and the killer photos with my mamby pamby elder street riding group.

You should contact /confirm with Herb BEFORE showing up with a group. He generally does not welcome group rides without prior planning. Allows him to plan food, etc. He also rents the town out for other events so that could have an impact also. FWIW: Jason at My2Wheels has worked hard to build a relationship with Herb.

I've Been following this Thread from the start, looks like you guys had a blast. I'm really bummed out that I missed it, I've been working outside the US for 4 months now (to buy bigger, newer bikes! :D) Hopefully the next one that Rozar puts together is soon and I'm in town for it.
