My wife and I just got back from this great cabin and had a wonderful time. The views are spectacular and the cabin is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. It is convenient to many of the area's interesting attractions but most of all it is smack dab in the middle of motorcycle nirvana! Whether dirt or street, it is literally just out the door. I was in the woods in less than 10 mins. and world class Wolf Pen Gap is less than that. I hope to visit again this fall. Many thanks to the Greer's for sharing with us!

Glad you enjoyed it Dave...I still haven't scratched the surface on all of the FS roads around there.

Bump again! :clap Just spent a week up there and it is definitely cooler at 2200 feet than at the lower elevations. Enjoyed some great riding as well :evil

Just had a cancellation for Labor Dat weekend. In order to get it rented, we can do it for $230 including everything, Fri-Mon. Get your riding buddies together and have an incredible weekend of twisties in the Blue Ridge mountains.

Thanks for the interest Jenna! It was just rented for Labor Day weekend so please disregard the earlier special. Also, due to the fall being a peak rental season, the ADV rates for the period of Oct 1 - Nov 7 will be $75 per night for a weekend rental (minimum 2 nights) and $65 per night if rented for 3 or more days.

Here are a few photos from the area just near the cabin:

I'm planning my next summer's Big Trip.. and thinking about your cabin. Is there internet access at the cabin?

By next summer there should be Internet access at the cabin. Right now there is not, however if you are on Verizon or AT&T the 3G networks are very fast there. I tether my laptop and surf at very quick speeds...it's pretty amazing actually.

Thanks for all of the interest you all, in fact we have several ADVers about to arrive this week for a nice long stay. I just got back from there this past weekend (added more decorations and a plasma HDTV) and the riding was perfect.

Just happened across this thread and decided to drive over and check out these roads you mentioned. I live in Greenville SC, so it was only a couple of hours to get over there. Well worth the trip! 348 and 129 are awesome roads! :thumb Didn't much care for Wolfpen Gap, too tight for my tastes, ymmv. Anyway, have a free bump! :wave

Thanks for the bump, sounds like you had a great ride. I personally love 180, and then if you head north on 60 up to Blue Ridge that is a great ride as well.

Just a monthly bump. Things are pretty booked up but if you can wander up in the middle of the week you will be greeted by spectacular roads and perhaps even better fall foliage!

Bump! Book the cabin for the warm weather before it fills up!

You cannot beat the location for riding, you are literally on Hwy 180 (Wolfpen Gap) about 45 seconds from the front door.
