This was "gopherville". it appears it was someones dream for a theme park and attraction on the Sask/manitoba border. It just goes to show"if you build it, they will come" doesn't always hold true.

This is in Humboldt County on the road to Cannibal Island. It is and old schoolhouse just about taken over by vegetation.

My daughter and son-in-law talked my wife and I into partnering on a rehab of two old commercial buildings in Leadville Colorado -- Old structures, yes.

    Our family mountain compound before.....

    and during.....

The building on the left is almost completed.... 3 bedrooms 3 1/2 bathrooms, kid loft, large living room, kitchen and dining room....

The building on the right is still a work in process. When it's complete it will be a duplex. Each unit will have living and dining rooms, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths. Old sheds in the back will be rehabed into garages.

The project is two blocks east of downtown and is one block south of the city street that turns into the road over mosquito pass.
