Tnx, found it on their site. But my nearest store is an ocean away from me? Will try and look in my local bauhaus, obi, etc.
I am looking for a set of the 640 Adv Tank Crash Bars. Either Holan or Hepco Becker. I know they all crack or break and may not really protect the tank that much, just need a basis for building a more durable set up. Reply here or PM. Thanks, Chris
a shout out to all the 640 adv 'solo' riders who may have parts laying around gathering dust that you don't need, and i do does anyone have passenger peg mounts 5810300320019 or 5840304800090 is the left side numbers & 5810300420019 or 5810300420090 is the right side numbers (just the mount brackets) to fit the subframe 5840300234490 i need both left and right sides these were the same for all years from what i've researched and for a visual reference its part number 5 below I leave on my RTW on my 625 SXC in 120 days and as my bike didn't come with them i think it would make mounting of my Giant Loop a lot easier/ secure rather than just to the subframe if you can help please drop me a PM and i can pay you via Paypal
RTWPaul, I was in the same situation. I bought mine used on CL (to anchor my Great Basin). There is a set on bay, but they are in England. http://www.ebay.com/itm/KTM-640-LC4...torcycle_Parts_13&hash=item3cd84e965d&vxp=mtr Might try a lowball offer with a link to your build thread, needs, and reason. Best of luck
i actually got a sponsorship from www.ktmpartshouse.com for my RTW so i can buy new for the same price or less, but don't really need new as they'll get FUBAR'd pretty quick...hoping someone might need a few $$$'s so its a win/ win
Hi Paul, I have set I took off my project bike as one side had a small bend which affected the passenger peg position.... If you are just using these as tie in points and not for a passenger peg setup then they would work for that... I could mail them for the price of shipping or you could grab them if you get up this way...
they sound perfect...drop me a PM with your paypal and cost and i'll get money to you tomorrow i will be at your place around the end of May after doing the UTBDR and WABDR on the way up
Will the 1.85 front rim (D.I.D 21X185E6S01T) for the 950 adventure lace up to my 06 640 Adventure, using the stock spokes? Singletrak
Can anyone help me out with this: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=23439316&postcount=16 Thank you in advance.
Hey all refitting my subframe after repairing another crack and have this plug that I can't remember unplugging it even what it's for? It's on the this and exists out if the main loom. For the life of me I can't work out where it's supposed to plug into. Any ideas ? It has red and brown wires
By my reading of my 2005 wiring diagram, it should plug into a socket that comes from the rectifier. No colours specified for the rectifier wire.
Is your rectifier output wired directly to the battery? There is a mod to do that which eliminates the regular rectifier output connection. It directs power straight to the battery for better charging instead of running it all over the harness and then back to the battery
It's not a stock KTM connector, which basically means that all bets are off. Someone has been there before, modifying the electrical system. Trace the wires? Cheers, Tseta
wvrocks nailed it. Had forgotten that I had modded the rec rectifier to be wired directly to the battery. Doh!
Anyone out there ever lose their turn signal function? The horn and lights still work, as do the instruments etc. Just no signals. By that I mean no lights and obviously no flashing either. It's a 2003 Adventure 640. Relay? Thanks
I'd start with the simple stuff first, check your fuses, switch and then connections to your turn signals before worrying about anything else. If it's not them your relay (flasher) may be busted.
