Ok not technically a tunnel (but a bridge) but I like this shot of Thinairthumper coming into Batopilas Mx.

That is the Charcoal Gap Tunnel outside Eureka Springs, its the old Missouri & North Arkansas (May Never Arrive) line that ran from Seligman Mo to Helena Arkansas.
It was abandoned 50 or so years ago. Greers Ferry Lake condemned a section of track, a lawsuit around 1940 over a Collision between a passenger train and freight train bankrupted the line as well as a labor strike.

Where in Saxony is this? Close to which city? Unfortunately, I've never been there.

The Spray tunnel, near Zeehan on the west coast of Tasmania.

It is an old tramway tunnel put in to service the "Spray" Mine, the strange cross section is to allow the passage of a boiler used at the mine.

This isn't realy a tunnel as such as you can't travel in it without a key to get in.
It is a tunnel put in to assist in the construction of a hydro power station in Tasmania, called "Poatina" which is supposed to be the local aboriginal word for "hole in the ground"

The old Freiberg is one of the nicest towns in GER! A friend of mine is an geologie ingeneer and told me much about the old silvermines and its explorement. That´s the reason why Freiberg WAS a rich town.

Have you ever visited Schloß Augustusburg? In Winter? With your motorbike?
