That is one stunning Bonnie black. Can you give me the rundown on your mods, please? I'm trying to chose between a bonnie black (07 with 865cc) or the thruxton to mod and I envision that bike in my mind. The mods right away would be predator pipes, tail chop, napoleon mirrors, airbox/AI removal, gaitors, K&N filter, kneepads and maybe flyscreen and ceramic headers. On the Bonnie I would likely go with flat-track bars and rearsets.Thanks for posting that--looking forward to more details.

in my opinion the norman hyde "m" bars are great, you can also get the napoleon mirrors which work wonderfully, i have them. I've also got some D&D pipes that sound great and look good in my dumbass opinion. the airbox removal kit is supposed to do wonders for the motor, but i haven't gotten on yet. on thing i definately recommend is some extended seat bolts. the originals are a pain in the arse to take off.

If it were me I would probably get the BB - the Thrux has some upgraded parts though, suspension I think. You will want to set that up on your own anyway and the price diff would cover a very nice set up. I highly rec the Hagon Nitro's

The clip ons on the Thrux would get real old real fast for me, and that is expensive to change

The "M" bars get the look and are a lot more real world usable

here is a front shot so you can get an idea of how low the M bars are

Great Bay Cycles make some pretty unobtrusive highway pegs (pricey as hell though)

upgrade headlight bulb (had a Vstrom before and the killer headlight on that bike spoiled me)

paint the ugly ass gray regulator on the front flat black

Prob sell the Triumph seat and get a corbin solo

louder horn

oil filler with temp gauge

gonna replace pipes with some dunstall knock offs or Burgess style knock offs, even drilled they are too quiet

but it was precisely what I was looking for

it was like finding gold flake in a creek behind your own house

the bike had nearly every mod on my list of a dream Bonnie

of all the bikes I own I'll keep this one the longest - if it ever does go it will be to get a another Bonneville

you never forget you are on a bike and it reminds you why you are on a bike

The dash is a lovely thing to look as the road rolls under you

this bike is riding boiled down to its essence, and it is good

except for my '69 BMW I don't think I have dug a bike this much

this bike is internally combusted rock and roll

if you want to sell that seat i might be interested, i love the look. I got a temp gauge from www.newbonneville.com and its really nice. I also would look into the D&D's or predators. you also might want to consider ceramic coated headers, they really kick ass.

standard bar more comfy

M bars can't you forward a little but, but not a lot

at near highway speeds and above the wind on your chest keeps weight off your wrists

plus the Bonnie seats all allow a lot scoot room so scooting up close to the tank give you sit and beg posture and scooting back puts you in a cafe lean

I dig the bars and I typically prefer a sit up and beg posture like a Strom or my old F650

my biggest beef is the peg to seat length is too close for my 32 inch inseam

I see a set of the least ugly hway pegs I can find in my future
