Atlanta Rider's Vortex Meeting

Since there has been some interest on having an Atlanta riders meeting on a Thursday night (their bike night) soon at the Vortex(they have a few vintage bike photos & at the restaurant) at L5P's, I figured it was time to start a thread to see who is interested and what day looks good. wxwax is currently healing from his last adventure, so we should give it at least a couple weeks so he can get his cast off and join us.

If you are interested add your name and if you have a Thursday night that works or not let us know and we will make it happen. Now all we need to do is get El Presidente to visit the South, he has seen the rest of the country, come on down Flug.

hey patch, it would be great to meet some of the local ADVRider cast and crew, seems like Atlanta is well represented, and its only fitting to get together.....so as my weird ass work schedule will allow-count me in. Lenq, I live near PTC, and would like to hook up and ride with ya sometime(aren't you in Carrollton?) I work week-ends a lot, but have weekdays off (4 on/4off), so if you are interested, pm and me and lets do it.

I am hopefully on day shift thurs Aug. 7. I might be getting my shift switched to days but that won't be for a couple of months...if at all....

I emailed the boss. she will let me know tomorrow whether I will be free that night. My other boss (wife) will not have a problem with it.

Lets get it done....

I will not know for certain until we get closer. I am self-employed and never know my schedule too far in advance. I should be able to make most Thursdays pretty easily though, at least I hope. It should be nice to meet a few more of the local riders.

I agree, Pat. I have met Wxwax (Sid) and Charlie Brown (can't remember his real name,

) And I see that there are quite a few newcomers to the board from around. CCRyder, Willchao, Bo., and some others. It would make for a nice turn out. As long as we get there early. Like 7pm. Later it gets, the busier it gets.

Sounds great. I think the 8/7 is good for me, but most Thursdays are with advance notice. I hope to have my new bike by then, its coming down to the Caponord or the Tiger.

Looking forward to meeting some of the advrider locals.

Yo Perry, I am down here in Villa Rica.

It has been confirmed. I will be getting day shift on Aug 7.
I will be heading to the Vortex right after work. About 7pm. Those who can/want to can be sure to meet me out there. Enough people and we can be "official".

BeemerChef, yes, it is the one in Little 5 Pts. Take I-20 east to Moreland Ave.(2nd exit) north. Once you get into the LIttle 5 area look for the skull door entrance on the left. The bike parking is between the cones. Get there around 7pm to get a good spot. That is as long as you don't mind staying til about 10pm. because you will get blocked in.

I will not be there this coming Thurs. I have to work nights. But I will be there Aug 7.

Have fun and take pics if you head there Thurs.

Damn BeemerChef, just took a look at your menu (just for main courses). What a selection. Too bad you don't live up here in atlanta.
Chicken Breasts Tarragon;
Beef Medallions with Cognac Sauce ;
Beef Tenderloin with Garlic and Brandy
Grilled Baby Back Pork Ribs with Mustard Bourbon Sauce
Mahi-Mahi
Tuna Roasted with Lime and Mustard Glaze
Roast Duck Breast with Balsamic and Apricot Sauce
(just a few selections without pasting the whole menu. )

OK baldy, where is the 'hungry' smilie. with a fork in one hand and a knife in the other.

You coming up to visit or you thinking about staying??
