I know several guys on the kansas side of KC, ridden a couple times with a guy from Wichita.
I think I'm still a member here though I'm of the Bushwhacker faction.  http://www.backroadstouring.org/kansas/index.htm The site went on hiatus for a bit and a buddy spawned this site, mainly KC metro guys. http://www.rideforum.net There are a couple of yahoo groups but they're mainly focused around KC also, kcdualsport and midwestdualsporters. New idea for this KS thread. If you agree, share your screen name, type of cycle you ride and your location/city. That way others with the same type of scooter can organize rides of whatever variety - gravel, off-road, touring, etc.
