Cool2 So we've all heard/seen the 650 xchallenge...let's see your XCOUNTRY!

Both bikes are similar...same engine, frame..etc...yet totally different at the same time...one's mostly for dirt the other one is for 'whatever'...There's so many posts about the xchallenge but none concerning the xcountry. I really love mine and have a blast everytime I get on it, no doubt about it. I want to see pictures of you riding your xcountry, mods you've done, etc...I haven't done much to mine besides a tail tidy, took of the useless canister, got a leo vince exhaust..I'm currently making a luggage rack and a skidplate out of sheet metal at school and will probably have them installed by next week (I hope) so pics of that soon but for now...:

The beast:

Some riding:

Ok, let's see yours!

Nice action shots!

And apparently, of the G650 trio, this X Country is the most popular, yet you don't see much of them here..

I really like those bikes! I think most are being used as urban transport.

Nice pics! With some work the Xcountry would make a sweet touring bike, but I guess it ends up being almost a F650 then

Will a Moto or Challenge seat fit on a Country?

Will a Moto or Challenge seat fit on a Country? I know it's kinda the opposite of what some have asked, but I'm finding my long legs are a little cramped on the xcountry...

Thanks!

Mike

I doubt it but can't really say yes or no since I haven't tried or read about anybody doing so.

It would be an expensive swap because you not only will need the seat but also replace all the body panels around the "faux" tank, i.e. the airbox.

Question Need some expert advise...

Ride West (BMW dealer in Seattle) is selling a 2008 xCountry with the following for $8999. Feedback is appreciated...

1700 miles
ABS
Hepco Bags
Hand Guards
C Bailey Windscreen
Tank Bag

Nice looking bike and I prefer the black to the new Yellow '09. Is this a good deal?

Feedback from Sweden

I suspected it was an '07... Thanks and I'll ask for clarification.

Still - ~$4K in accessories on the thing... Nice custom seat too which wasn't mentioned in the ad.

Maybe the bike market is different than cars, but usually when something is used, and has modifications, it goes for less money. Mostly due to the fact that most people are very particular in the accessories people put on. I'll find out what an 09 is OTD in a couple hours tonight, we can use that as a comparison (no accessories other than ABS and maybe the rear rack).
