I just moved out here from Washington. Been out exploring a little on the Strom & got the X-Challenge of the trailer yesterday. Passed lots of bikes on the road this weekend, cruisers & a couple KLR's. I'm not working yet, so I guess I'll ride

Im not really a Michigan rider but I will be riding in Michigan June 22nd - 23rd. A friend and I will be staying at the Muskegon KOA. We dont really have an itinerary, just thought we would explore the area since I have never been that far north or seen the Great Lakes. |

Was back a few years later to visit some family friends, but not since. Been a long time. I sure don't remember too many roads that were worth bothering to gear up for riding though.

Ok, tomorrow, Yankee Springs ride. Two ADV'ers leaving Lansing at 7am, dull.
![]() I imagine we find ourselves in YS area about 8.30ish. We are going to attack some single track and two track, just need to be back about 3pm. Kind of early, but hey, family gets part of the weekend too. Besides, I am supposed to be working on the kitchen cabinets/counter. PM me if anyone wants to join us, I will give out my # in PM only. Hope to see a few riders.

went riding with dent and red dog- anybody really into trails should head out there to Yankee springs, they're good boys to run with. Be prepared for a bit I sand though, so big heavy dual sport riders like myself might find issue (damned anakees failed me) but other then that good ride good people

Had a good time riding today, but two of us didn't enjoy it as much, one of us had to have the bike trailered home.
![]() Yellow SV dug a trench into a ditch around lunchtime, but not because she was riding trails with us. Slipped into a corner, eh, it happens. SV is damaged, but probably can be saved. Believe it or not, we then rode two up on the TW200 that reddog brought. It performed well beyond my expectations the whole time, what a cool bike! Pretty comfy seat too, but perhaps my wife could tell you how comfy the rack is. ![]() Qeulis came with the round the world bike, but the sand proved to be too much for the michigan roads tires. Ah well, next time hopefully. Found more and more two track, pretty good place to go ride. Definitely expect sand. Didn't locate my GPS mount from last time. Maybe the raccoons took that farkle. The Upper Peninsula Geography Awareness Program would like to provide a friendly reminder to all people participating in this thread that anything east of Lake Michigan hardly qualifies as "West Michigan".

Not from there, but will be close by
I'm a troll from SE MI, but I'll be around Houghton Lake during the July 4th Weekend. I know, that's more central than west, but it's west of where I am right now!
Any roads I should be checking out while I am up there? |

I decided to cancel my trip to michigan this weekend since Iowa and other places along our route is currently underwater and the rain doesnt seem to be letting up any time soon. We are heading southwest to New Mexico instead.
