Laugh Vans!

I found and scanned this pic of me and my Dad the other day, and since looking at it again it seems like I keep seeing some really cool vans out there- and some of them have really cheap prices on them!

Maybe it's because I spent my summers living out of this thing, but I love vans!

This was our van. That's me in the hat. That box on the roof was where my brother and I slept on camping trips ... after we slid the canoe off.

This is the same van after my dad rolled it. This is how I learned to drive. I guess you could call it a "van conversion."

This van conversion looks like fun and would surely get me in trouble! Now I must consider it.

No digitized pics, but we had neato Chevy conversion van when I was a kid. Drove all over the SouthWest with it. Powder blue velour interior baby!

Not here. Everything is in my mother's secret photographic archive (huge pile in a closet somwhere...).

Think lots of alternating 6" white/metalic powder blue/metalic medium blue stripes with dark blue pin stripes between. Raised fiberglass roof, ladder on the right rear door, but no roof rack (ladder to knowhere!). KC Highlighters (smaller than Daylighters) on the front bumper for night driving through Indian reservations. Drove like a floaty tank.

I spent about nine months traveling around Europe with my parents, brother and aunt in a VW van when I was 8. I'll try to find a picture or two. It was pale green with "Church of Christ" in big white letters on both sides which, if you knew my family, is absolutely hilarious.

Cool old pic Hayduke.

I picked my van up in 03 for $3k with only 50k miles on it.
E350 4x4 extended ambulance from Park City FD.
I drove it home from Utah at about 90mph for 700 miles.
Only a few second looks from troopers on the shoulder, and everyone moved over for me, without even hitting lights & sirens once.

Had an idea to turn it into a seirra mountain limo
and run people up in snow storms.

For now it hauls my bikes, kayaks, and a pack of dogs.
If I ever run out of money I can take up motivational speaking and live in it down by the river.

It's what 4 months laid up on ebay will get you, a low mile E350 4x4.
