The Rimfire Thread

If this has been done before, please ignore- But...
Now that we have a forum where we don't have to worry about firearm threads being merged- Small bore shooters, this is YOUR thread . No pissing contests about whose round is bigger, we're all small here- but the squirrels are terrified....

I'll start it off with some pics of my .22s

10/22, tapco stock, tech sights, leupold see thru rings, and a swift 2x20 scout scope

CZ 452 American 16", harris bipod, Nikon 3-9x40

My boy shooting his RRA AR-15 with a Ceiner .22 conversion.

It's the only Rimfire in the safe. Had a GSG-5 at one time but ended up selling it to a guy at work who couldn't live without one.

Good ol' 10-22 with my new TriMag clip

Got a MKII pistol too, just the cheapie version with 6" barrel, and by God if that's not the most accurate handgun I own.

H&R Sportsman 999. Really awesome plinker, especially in colder climate where loading magazines is impossible with numb fingers.

I prefer a Marlin model 60 to the Ruger. The Ruger has given me lackluster accuracy in a heavier more clunky gun with a terrible trigger pull. The only real advantage is that you can swap barrels on the Ruger and dress up the gun to a manner that you like as more "stuff" is made for it.

I have a TC Contender with a .22 match barrel. Absolutely phenomenal accuracy for pennies a shot.

... I just saw yesterday what highpower centerfire cartridges are going for.

What

The

Hell!

Rimfire it is, lads.

I have to agree. I used my model 60 for years for hunting but traded it off for a Ruger 10/22. Even after adding a bull barrel and a decent scope, I still cant seem to match the accuracy of my $69 Marlin.

I agree with you also, I have both, my two Marlin Model 60's are older pieces, one well used, one less so, but I love them both so much more than the new stainless Ruger 10-22 \I got last year. If I could have only one, I would definatley take the Model 60 also.
