Celery! Celery!

Celery, Celery,
If she don't come,
I'll tickle her bum,
With a lump of celery.

Celery, Celery,
My old mum said
Tickle her bum
With a stick of celery.

Celery, Celery,
My old mum said
You can make her come
With a stick of celery.

Quote:
Chelsea have banned celery from Stamford Bridge after two referees mentioned in their match reports that the vegetable had been thrown onto the pitch. Blues fans traditionally take the offending item to their matches in honour of their chant Celery.

But fans have now been warned that they may be refused entry to matches if they attempt to take celery into the ground, and face arrest if they are caught throwing it. A helpful news item on the Chelsea website points out: " The throwing of anything at a football match, including celery, is a criminal offence for which you can be arrested and end up with a criminal record."

The Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas enjoying a healthy snack offered free of charge by Chelsea fans.

Carefree, wherever we may be,
We are the famous CFC,
And we don't give a fuck,
whoever you may be,
'Cos we are the famous CFC.

And now for today's football scores. In the Champion's League quarterfinals, at Anfield...

Chelsea 3
Liverpool 1

Hi Mercury!

You are my Chelsea, my only Chelsea,
You make me happy when skies are grey,
You'll never notice how much I love you,
Please don't take my Chelsea away.

I wish Chelsea had an anthem as good as You'll Never Walk Alone.

The Kop is one of football's great heritages. It's one of the things that makes English football different and better. The passion the fans bring to the game makes it so much more enjoyable. I sometimes fall asleep watching La Liga and Serie A.

I was in the UK for business and caught the second game of the set (4-4 tie). Wow! It was unlike any sporting event in the US I'd ever been to.

The atmosphere at a big football match is above anything in the US. Maybe college football or basketball comes close. Great stuff. And a helluva match, too.

I like the fact that most of the cheers/songs were taunts directed at the opposing fans, not urging their own team to victory.

"Two-nil and you fucked it up! Two-nil and you fucked it up! ..."

West Ham fans got on Terry and Lampard hard last weekend. I'd love to know what they were singing.

I remember back in the late 70's when Tommy Docherty was the ManU manager and Laurie Brown was the team physio. So Tommy gets caught in an affair with Laurie's wife...next match, to the tune of "Knee's Up Mother Brown" 50,000 fans on national tele...

"Who's up Mary Brown?"

"Who's up Mary Brown?"

"TOMMY, TOMMY DOCHERTY!!"

"TOMMY, TOMMY DOCHERTY!!"
