Usa Tor
Yes, I know we have a North American TOR and it is seeing some epic journeys, but I propose a USA only TOR with the goal of getting the mascot to all 48 lower states and maybe even AK provided it is a round trip, not a drop.
I plan to kick this TOR off tomorrow by dropping the macot off in an area of the Maryland Eastern Shore that has some very beautiful roads to ride. I will caution whom ever goes after it to check the tide charts first as a few places can see a couple of inched of water on the road at high tide. The first mascot - He was lost or stolen. The new Mr. Nut rides on. ![]() The rules ( basically lifted from Blinkerfluid's game) Rules for this version: NOTE - Your bike must be in the grab and drop shots - this means your bike and the area Nutsy is hidden MUST be in the photo. Your bike does not need to be in the detail photos of where Nutsy is hidden. For example; when I dropped Nutsy off to start this game, I gave you a shot (with my bike in the picture) of the little pavilion he was in and than gave you some detail photos of his exact hiding spot. REMEMBER - this is a motorcycling game, if you cannot get your bike close enough (legally) to have the hiding spot and the bike in the picture then pic a different spot. #1 File photos are not allowed. #2 Dirt is allowed; however, let everyone know that the route to the tag includes dirt roads. Also, use your judgement on placing the tag to ensure that someone else will most likely come and get it, i.e. don't turn this into the "lets see who can find the most obscure tag location in history" thread. #3 Tag mascot is required to clame the tag. Tag claims must be posted within 12 hours of the 1st "bruced" photo. In the event no official tag claim is made within 12 hours, the person with the 1st "bruced" photo gets the tag and the honor of choosing a new mascot. Please don't be an rule. If you grab Nutsy, take him on an adventure, drop him and then leave him. Rules may be modified or added later if it is determined that they are needed to promote movement of the tag. If you don't know how the Tag game works, please review some of the other Tag games that are currently in play: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=429115 http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=321439 http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=360246 STATES MR. USA NUT HAS VISITED; 1 - Delaware --- originated at my house 2 - Maryland --- run down pavilion at the Elliott Island boat launch. 3 - Pennsylvania --- Strasburg Train Museum....place of same name....in Pa. 4 - MD / VA / MD / VA / MD / VA.................. ***** Original nut lost / stolen at this location ***** 5 - Vermont *** New Mr. Nut in play *** 6 - New York. 7 - Alabama 8 - Tennessee 9 - North Carolina 10 - South Carolina 11 - Georgia 12 - Florida 13 - Mississippi 14 - Louisiana 15 - Texas 16 - Washington 17 - Oregon 18 - California

Mr. Nut's trip has begun. He stated off from Magnolia De along with his friend from the Mid Alantic TOR; also a nut job!
![]() On the way to grabbing the DE TOR, they assisted in refueling. ![]() Nut was happy to pose on the counter of Loaded Gun Customs (DE TOR grab). ![]() ![]() He even suggested I buy this ![]() After convincing him I was happy to stay with my Bandit, he jumped back in the tailbag and it was off to his first placement of the game. I took Mr. Nut to the end of the road on Elliott Island MD. Not much there, but from the jump off point at Vienna, you have 16 miles of beautiful, twisty pavement running through the Blackwater Preserve. ![]() ![]() If you see these guys on the road, stop and lend a hand, rescused 5 today! ![]() At the end of the road is a boat launch where you will see this ![]() Mr. Nut is up in the rafters in the right hand corner as seen from where you pull up. ![]() ![]() OK RIDERS - go get Mr. Nut and take him somewhere!

Well Mr Nut is on his way to a new home.
I actually spaced out and didnt get a full shot of my bike at the pavilion. I was still pumped from the twisty ride on the way in. Mr Nut is not going alone either - Mid Atlantic Nut (Mr Nuts Brother) is heading with me. I am thinking I will keep them together at least for a little while longer. I dont want to split the family. It was one hell of a ride out there - I thank you... Not sure I can claim the tag for this one, since I didnt the full bike shot...but round trip to the nut was 260 miles...so he will just have to hang with his brother for now. The guys fishing wondered awfully hard what I Was getting out of hte rafters. And some creepy houses on the way out there... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The grabs are yours! Glad you enjoyed the ride. Don't feel bad about splitting the bros up. They have to split eventually as one has greater aspirations then the other.

Well I wanted to give an update since the drop time mark is approaching:
The nut brothers are still together and have been enjoying their time looking for sunny weather. It was take your mascot to work day so I brought them with me so they can help me look for sun shine on the horizon. Sadly, they haven't seen much of it. Kinda like a ground hog looking for shadow, these nuts wont give up and they are eager to get planted back into the wild ready to see new faces and meet new people. Until then...they sit and watch...

let's put it this way. it's a water crossing I have been wanting to use for a couple years, take another ADV'r with ya.... , I'll accept a solo grab, but you will only be able to brag to all the FF's if you do it solo, only reason I'm asking for a two-fer is to spread the love, cause I'm taking bro Guy with me to dump the biotch......oh and the person holding the NUT will be giving you the ADV salute if you go solo...he might even make you swim to shore....... we'll post up from a great BBQ spot en-route, after I dump Nutzy off, I could move it wayyyyyy further, but I think it;ll be a cool spot oh, I couldn't get any of the 2:40 girlz to hold my nutz for a photo,l but tomorry we will have fun....photos willl continue

Very nice. Assuming more than one state will be visited, please post a pic with location info for any state passed through.
A question to the players; should a state count toward the 49 state goal if Mr. Nut only passes through the state?

That is a good question. I was going to fetch that nut next week (it would be overnight ride). I live in NY but wanted to take the nut to NH.
So the question is IF I stopped at niagara falls would NY count as a stop for Mr. Nut? Oh yeah, I ride alone. David ![]() Nice to see it moving. |

I personally think it has to be planted in that state to count. That gives Mr nut the best chance to travel. It can always come back to a state that it has passed through during its journeys. Just my thoiught!
Sounds like a fun plant though, I cant wait to see it.

welll I blew that one folks, sorry to say I believe he's still in Md....as it was pointed out that the state line ain't in the middle of the river.....it's at the shoreline.....and Nutzy is in the water by about 100 ft. son of a biotch..... I guess technically when the loading ramp dropped, and we rode off, we were on an extension of a Va road...that was floating....I dunno. Last 2 pic's shot were Va. for sure. Nutzy lives in Limbo...a Nut without a home. oh well, call it what you will, I'm heartbroken.....

Seeing as the odds of a line split like this being a bit rare (how many more ferrys can the nut really be stuck to?) I going with intent. For now the MD / VA location is good to me.

You guys are KILLIN me. I've been across that ferry more times than I can count. My bike, however, is down home in TN and I'm in MD for now. Hm. Where oh where can I borrow a bike?
Looks like a fun game. I'll be in Alaska in August but again without a bike.
