Honda CH150 - High speed rhythmic vibration happening

Hello. Yesterday I had the opportunity to open up the fairly new to me CH150 Elite.

When I got a bit above 45mph, a cyclical, rhythmic vibration started happening. The faster I went, the faster the rhythm and tempo of the vibration went.

I know I need to replace the engine hanger bushings, because they rattle, but any other ideas? I am sure it could use a new drive belt, but the one on there isn't splitting or cracking, just a bit dry.

What say you, master scooter mechanics?

Start with the cheaper items. New drive belt is never a bad idea. Check your roller weights for uneven wear.

Then move on to more $$. Variator, clutch & bell, etc.

Try finding roads with a varied road surface. If the noise goes away on very smooth roads, it;s probably a wheel bearing, or tire. Otherwise, anything that can move or rotate, could be suspect. Try braking slightly at speed to see if that changes the sound, if the brakes are sticking or there is a rusty rotor, this could cause a noise.
If the bike has been idle for a long time, this could have caused the belt to take a set. This is a good place to look after other easier checks.
