noob @gps - about to buy 60csx - advice please !

G'day all

never owned a gps, used a few in car. From what I read the garmin 60csx is a good unit and will suit my day/weekend rides around south east queensland.

The cheapest I can find one is new on ebay @309 delivered

it says it is genuine australian model with international marine point base map loaded?

Is this the correct basemaps?
Any advice so I dont buy the wrong thing, or anyone know any shops I could get as good a deal at ?
Also I have a mac at home, will the gps/software ineract ok?
What else should I buy to load it onto my bars, which mount etc?

After buying the gps I will be a bit broke so like the idea of free maps, shonky get recommended allot. Am I on the right track.

Advice is welcome, or if anyone know a good deal on another unit that might suit.
