Hi,

we are shipping into Dunedin on the 30th of March on our RTW trip.

Touring the south island for a month before heading to the North island.

I'm sure the locals will give you a warm welcome unlike the weather in your first port of call. I'm in the Bay of Islands, oop north so if you get this far let me know. Have a ball, there are some fantastic roads, gorgeous scenery & endless places to explore.
This forum may be of some use to you too. Can be a tad anarchic at times so log in with a sense of humour handy.

Hi Guys, enjoy your travels. I'm near Rotorua, get in touch when you get near if you want to visit for a beer/BBQ/stay the night.

My son and I plus our respective spouses, start a 2 week South Island tour on March 30th. We may see you along the way.

If you are into old aircraft, be aware that the Southern hemisphere's largest veteran warbird airshow is on in Wanaka over Easter

I'm on a silver Sprint ST and the son is on a Blue GSF 1250, both with panniers.

The bikes were delayed at Auckland due to a strike over Easter, Picking them up from Dunedin on Monday 16th.
Can't wait to get riding and back in the tent again.

Hope to bump into ADV'ers in the south Island.
