http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...cycles-cars-an Anybody installed this yet? I think it's pretty interesting. It solves one of my primary reservations about installing an air horn and adds some interesting functionality to boot. I find it reasonably priced as well. I am in NO way affiliated with these guys - I just posted this in the tiger 800 thread and thought this might be a more appropriate place for it. Anybody have any thoughts on this? |

Has anyone got one of these yet? I would be interested to know what you think of it once you install one.

AFAIK they haven't started shipping out yet. I'm one of the early purchasers on Kickstarter, and the last email I received said sometime in mid-March.

Not sure why anyone would want any delay before the LOUD HORN. That is just that much more time for them to come over into your lane.

Pretty sure the delay can be set for 1/2 or 1/4 second if desired - during which time the factory horn is sounding anyway.
I'll sacrifice that - if I'm giving a friendly toot to a passerby or someone spaced out at a light I'm on the horn for less than that. If I really want to get someone's attention though then I'll lay on the horn. The air horn would be great then. 1/4 second is very little time - I suspect if you needed that extra 0.25s of foghorn you might have more serious problems. Just my opinion. |

I'm sure someone will post how much distance you are going to travel at x miles an hour in the 1/4 second ......... and I say that fortunately this device does not come with any law that says you HAVE to have it fitted so if you want to do and if you don't, well, don't! |
