Stay with Mike and the family in Medellin. Tranquil suburbia with bike work-shop!

The owners of Casa Blanca hostel in Cali has moved to Medellin. The hostel continues unchanged in Cali, including the Bikers Wall of Fame!

"DIANA, THE TWO GIRLS AND I HAVE MOVED TO MEDELLIN APRIL 2012 TO START A BRANCH OF OUR MOTORCYCLE TOUR AND RENTAL BUSINESS - MOTOLOMBIA AND WILL NOT BE AT THE HOSTEL IN CALI ON A DAILY BASIS. DIANA'S SISTER LEIDY WILL BE ADMINISTRATING THE HOSTEL LIKE SHE HAS BEEN DOING THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS. SO NOTHING CHANGES. MIKE WILL STILL BE AVAILABLE ON EMAIL OR PHONE FOR ANY HELP YOU MIGHT NEED IN CALI.

WHILE WE WILL NOT BE OPENING A HOSTEL IN MEDELLIN, WE WILL OPEN OUR PRIVATE HOME TO THE BIKER COMMUNITY. WE HAVE TWO GUEST ROOMS AND SPACE TO PUT UP A TENT OR TWO IN OUR GARDEN. PRICE IS 50.000 PESOS PER PERSON/DAY AND YOU'RE FREE TO USE THE HOUSE LIKE YOUR OWN. COOK YOUR FOOD IN OUR KITCHEN, RELAX ON THE PATIO WITH GRILL AND HAMMOCK, WORK ON YOUR BIKE IN MIKE'S 5-CAR GARAGE WORK-SHOP AND USE THE TOOLS AVAILABLE.

SO IF YOU'RE LOOKING AT A MORE SUBURBAN QUIET AND RELAXING TIME IN MEDELLIN FEEL FREE TO DROP US A PM!!!"

Mike, Diana, Laura and Sofia

going to Meddelin

Hi Mike,

I'm heading to Medellin for a day or two. Will you folks be around?

I was also wondering if you knew where I could find some tires for the bike. It's a Tiger 800xc

cheers,
Clay

What a place!!

I've been meaning to write something on this for awhile so here goes:

This place reminds me of a slightly lesser drug lord's old pad This is a huge place with an awesome garage and great patio out back, perfect for entertaining. I had the privilage of showing up at the beginning and helped Mike a little shuffle some bikes and move some furniture in his new pad. I had a great time hanging out with Mike and his great family and two beautiful daughters

The crazy eyed veggie chef

I had a wonderful time cooking meat on the grill with Diana as she is a most excellent cook and some wonderful meals where prepared in my short time spent there with Mike and family.

What a dinner and some nice import Dannish beer I'm thinking:

One cute Sofia, great natured little kid:

Later Dan the Man, a parttime expat from Bogota came over for a little riding and we did some more cooking and found out a little problem with the gas grill but got by:

With a few extra bottles needed

Nice little baby pool table out back got some good cutthroat games in over the weekend

More great meats served up:

And oh how I liked the nice garage full of bikes along with my dirty girl:

There is plenty of crazy good riding nearby just as wild as you care to get:

Then go to Santa Fe for a nice meal on the square:

Colombian girls love foreign bikes too

You can't go wrong hanging out with these good people

Thanks Mike, I had a great time haning out with you and the family
