At the heart of every adventure rider is the same passion that our forefathers lived as they explored west of the Mississippi, over two hundred years ago as Mountain Men. There were streams to cross and mountain passes to be conquered. Around every corner there was a scene that would take their breath away. These free-spirited souls thrived on solitude, but once a year, they knew they needed to return to a location where like-minded adventurers would gather for supplies and celebration and socialization. This event was “The Rendezvous”.

Motorcycle adventure riders are a similar breed. We love our freedom to roam and explore and we cherish the free-spirit we can live on two wheels. It is this passion that motivates Rocky Mountain Adventure Riders to host a gathering, our flagship event. Once a year in the south-west corner of Colorado, in the San Juan Mountains, RMAR riders gather for camaraderie, celebration and phenomenal riding.

Dates: July 25-28, 2013
Basecamp: Red Mountain Motel, Cabins, Tent and RV Park

Fundraising: This year’s event will support the Colorado Off-Highway Vehicle Coalition, San Juan County Trails and San Juan Trail Riders.

About RMAR.......

1. RMAR is Chartered AMA Group, based out of Colorado Springs, CO
2. RMAR is a non-profit corporation in the state of Colorado
3. The RMAR Board of Directors and Representatives are 100% volunteer
4. The Mission of RMAR is:
A) Positively impact and influence the lives of those that ride with us, respecting each other and supporting one another.
B) Promote Dual-Sport/Adventure Motorcycle Events in the Rocky Mountain Region with a focus on responsible and respectable behavior and riding on our public lands and in the local communities, adhering to all the AMA policies and requirements.
C) Support fund-raisers fro state and/or local trail riding clubs or associations/coalitions/alliances that champion our sport and/or fight legislatively/politically for public land access for motorcycling.
5. Over 80% of all donations are routed into trail work and/or advocacy.

RMAR isn't like those high dollar, for-profit adventure riding companies.....We are living to give and keep our sport alive. We want our kids and grand kids to be able to ride.




COUNTDOWN CLOCK WIDGETS



Everyone, you might remember in the last two years, we offered lower pricing for those that registered early. This year we have moved to a specific contribution amount for the Rendezvous.....with no change in that amount as we get closer to the event. It's $60, up to July 15th. (Except for those that register at the door.....$80.)

But, we do have some motivation for those of you that want to contribute early. As a part of your $60 donation this year, you are receiving a TShirt at no additional expense.

For you to get a TShirt, you will need to have completed your contribution by June 15th. That is the cut off date for the TShirts. If you contribute after June 15th and join us at the Rendezvous, you will not receive a TShirt.

We will over order some shirts, and they will be on sale at the event for $20, first come, first served......and when they are gone.....they are gone. So if you want an additional TShirt or to pick one up for a friend or better half.....we will have some extras.

And by the way......Ferg has designed a smokin, awesome shirt this year!!!!!!! You don't want to miss this shirt.

FYI,,,on my ride home,,i had the good fortune of reconnecting with an ol friend who has settled in Montrose,,,makin sweet music is her game and singing from deep places within will have all of us begging for more..
had the opportunity to listen to her new band called 'Thin Air'',,tell ya guys,,i was blown away with what 200 years of collective experience can bring forth on a Sunday afternoon,,the malesinger/guitar player Knows his shit,,accompanied by a bass player who holds his own,,but when my Sue Ducept starts wailing,,,ya'll will be enthralled...

ok enough PR,,they have a great sound system which we can use to at long last hear what big John has to say,,,they said they 'd come down for a night or two..it's up to you,,circa $700 plus lodging is their going rate,,,would want/need to rooms...
