I started this thread for anyone that wants to post up pic's or list points of interest near the 2013 "Ricks RDV" I will be posting my scouting trips here and encourage other to do the same. Everyone welcome!

This waterfall is just over the mtn via some nice gravel.....but you can there via all pavement as well....

Anyone that needs to get some exercise can hike to Laurel Fork Falls off the AT. The trailhead is about 1/2 mile from the resort. It's about a 2 mile hike to the falls from the trailhead.

I was wishing that I could have gone on the scouting ride with you on Monday, and wondered where you might go. I had no idea that you'd be riding right by my place.

It's sort of strange seeing somebody else posting shots of places I ride everyday. (Strange in a good way)

knybango, I noticed you went down White Oak Rd. Hard to believe it's state road. I saw a bear on it one day. Where's that old church looking building that back in the woods? I haven't come across it yet. Looks like a fun place to spend Halloween night!

Guess I need to pull out the camera and be part of this thread, before you guys show all the good stuff.

White Oak Rd. is fun - I was talking to the guys in the gas-station at the bottom and they told me that I should not go.... don't tell me things like that!

it's not about tough... it's about telling me I can't do it (I just don't listen very well)


The DRZ should be ready this weekend: lowering links will be here tomorrow (hope I don't have trouble installing them), the seat is cut down and just need to be recovered, tags tomorrow....

the side-stand won't be shortened, but there's always a tree or something to help me out.

I can't this weekend either. Wish I could, but I'm nailling down a wooden floor in our kitchen, tired of looking at OSB... FYI, never buy the narrow flooring. It takes forever to lay.

If you're looking for some trails that "need exploring" There are some near Mtn City and also some near the Rally site that need to be checked out. PM or call if you want a lead on them. Btw, sometime soon we guys should meet to compare maps & notes. I'm sure there's plenty of good stuff each of us can share, and plenty of boring and/or BS & dead-ends to avoid. I would love to get back some of the wasted miles & hours from riding that stuff.
