Mixing sliders and regular rollers?
Has anyone done this?
I've got a set of 23gr Dr Pulley sliders in my scoot right now. I wanted 24gr and they weren't available, so I went with 23 but I'd like to "calm things down" a bit more, so I was thinking of pulling out half of them and replacing them with 25gr regular, cheapo round rollers. There shouldn't be any problems IMO, but would be nice to hear if anyone did this and had no issues.

Variators are balance-sensitive, & mixing DP sliders with conventional rollers (different shapes & dimensions) doesn't seem like a good idea IMO. That said, its your scooter, so give it a go & report your findings.

I'd be using the same size.. and the shape difference of the slider comes into
play only when the variator opens up completely, the rollers should just stay where they usually are.. ..at least that's the way I assume it would be. ![]() I'm not that keen on buying 3rd set of not that cheap sliders in just a few months.
