CroMag Campout 2013 September 19-22
If you are "IN", this is a good place to indicate it.
This fifth Vermont edition of CroMag Campout will be at Silver Lake State Park: http://www.vtstateparks.com/htm/silver.htm The CroMag Campout after the world ended. Email and Paypal: CroMagAdvRally@gmail.com I will open the gate again this year at 5 pm on Thursday night. For the newcomers: there are hot water showers, you can pitch tents together on sites if you choose or spread out. I imagine there will be some wood sparked and we will have a kumbaya event every night. Complimentary coffee at the shack. (Or if KyleB comes with the big pot at the outhouse.) There are going to be limited parking spots for vehicles with trailers down by the beach, again FCFS. As in the past, the deal I made was once they are parked they have to stay parked for the weekend and you will have to ride your bike. The purpose of this arrangement is so that the small displacement inmates can come from a distance comfortably and enjoy the weekend. If we finally get a rush on little bikes taking advantage of the dirty routes we will be able to find you parking if it fills up. Don't be nervous, Guymanbro has you covered and will be glad to take you along on his very nice wooded gnarly trips. There are some route sheets you can purchase for off road rides, money goes to the organizer who published them. I have been given a couple of GPX routes too, we can provide, e-mail me with questions. I should mention this is a big person event. There is no hand holding, maybe some nudging in the right direction, no rides like a Hog group with a SAA or anything like that. Numerous good places to eat in the area and roads, roads, roads. Most folks get a group together and head out. Don't be shy, most anyone will be glad to take you along. Some groups are different than others, you will need to feel that out. Ride within your limits is about it. You cannot bring self contained units (RV's) to the event. Sorry if that irks you, that is the overwhelming sentiment of the group and the park. There are camping areas not too far away. There are some B&B's in the area and the Woodstock Inn is quite close and very nice. More reasonable bed rates can be found in White River Jct., VT. I will provide you a list of area restaurants, emergency info etc. I plan to lock the gate at 9pm on Thursday and Friday. Saturday night at 6 pm. If the gate is locked, walk down the hill from the gate, that is straight in, and I will be down at the fire. I will gladly come up and let you in and get you properly papered. How will you find me you ask? Look for something bigger than your average bear, with less hair, at least on top of my head. Paypal to the above e-mail address please. If you want to send a check e-mail me and I will give you an address. When sending in the the paypal, please be sure to reference your Adv screen name as well as the other information below too. Thanks so much, it saves me a lot of time! Pricing to be determined next year when I can secure final costs. Should be the same. Leanto Bidding Donation Ash--------- Birch------- $60 Elm--------- $50 Hemlock--- Oak--------- $40 Pine-------- $20 Spruce----- $20 Bid by PM to shrineclown for a leanto. High bid will be posted in op, but not the bidder, silent auction for those who prefer anonymity. Bids in $10 increments so it is not a nightmare to manage. Bidding will end on 9/11/13. E-mail paypal confirmation to charity to cromagadvrally@gmail.com by 9/13. The charity of choice will be determined by SixWatt and SWMBO and information will be provided to the winning bidder. In the event of non-payment: leanto will be offered, to all in the annual thread, at the high bid and the first to say "dibs" and donate gets it, no bidding at that point. If the number was crazy, it will be offered at the highest donated amount for a leanto. Just cause I know folks will ask "what if." In the event there is no bid on a leanto, it will revert to the first come, first served status. Again, the bids are anonymous. If you are sharing, make sure you are not bidding against your leanto mates. Some things I need to have from you if you are a first timer or I don't have the information showing: 1. Meat eater or Herbivore? 2. Address for the list I give the park. E-mail it to me please at the address above. 3. Arrival day 4. Whether you are riding in or need a parking spot for your trailer and small displacement bike. You will notice no mention of the leanto's in the above post. Pwrcrzr had a great idea, at least I think so, that we auction the leanto's off for the event and donate that money to the charity that SixWatt chooses for the dinner proceeds. Talk among yourselves, but keep in mind I like the idea already.

As we sit here in the tap room discussing bulk anal beads I can only think about how IN I am for next year. I missed you all this year. See you in 2013.
Keep fingers crossed for miss Tame to learn to ride the old XL so she can lead a putt-putt tour of VT. |

Proposed bidding rules for leanto's
7 leanto's:
Bid by PM to shrineclown High bid will be posted in op, but not the bidder, silent auction for those who prefer anonymity. Bids in $10 increments so it is not a nightmare to manage. Bidding will end on 9/12/13. E-mail paypal confirmation to charity to cromagadvrally@gmail.com by 9/15. In the event of non-payment: leanto will be offered, to all in the annual thread, at the high bid and the first to say "dibs" and donate gets it, no bidding at that point. If the number was crazy, it will be offered at the highest donated amount for a leanto. Just cause I know folks will ask "what if." Sound fair? Changes you want to see? Be sure if you are going in with someone/s on a leanto that you are not bidding against each other since you will not know who the high bidder is. A communication challenge. As, the originator of the idea suggested, if no one bids or some are not bid on, it will be the FCFS format again.
