KTM 690 Adventure EVO2 Kit

Hi Guys,

I am looking forward to the new Rally Raid KTM 690 Adventure EVO2 Kit. It looks sooooooooo stylish!

But it is expensive and actually I don’t really need it for rallye racing or round the world trips. However, I think I want to have it. Can you guys please help me with the decision. What main advantages can I expect from this kit?

- twin headlight -> better than standard?

- additional fuel tanks -> put weight on front wheel and reduce headshake at high speeds?

- much better wind protection -> less turbulence, reduced headshake?

- kilometer range of 500 +?

Hey Mitch, what's with the no fit for Akro head pipe on the 690? I have the original tanks but want the slimmer fit Evo 2 instead. Will I need to reinstall my stock pipe?

We noticed that the Remus & Akro headers both run too close to our new EVO2 left tank underside for our liking,so we are modifying them to give more clearance to prevent heat from the header causing possible problems.Thses new style tanks will be available in about 3 weeks.
We will be contacting all of our EVO2 customers that already have the original design,and offering them the later design left tank,with more clearance,as a free upgrade,in case they want to use aftermarket headers.
Then all EVO2 tank kits will be suitable for all header types.
It was something we had not allowed for in our original EVO2 tank design,but we are always willing to accomodate customers request if possible.

The EVO2 Tank & Fairing Kits are designed to work with our RR Rad Guards,not sure about KTM ones.
We are doing final sampling of the tanks this week,hopefully.It has taken somewhat longer than originally anticipated,mainly due to the fact we wanted one design of tank to fit the 2012 bike,and the earlier models(the frames were found to be slightly different when we laser-scanned them)and also to be able to retro-fit the new tanks,fairings sides and twin headlight onto existing older kits,so that all our customers with the previous kits have the chance to upgrade to the new style kit without having to buy the whole kits again.
The EVO2 tank kit will be the same as our older style 2012 kit at £630 plus VAT(if in EU)
EVO2 Adventure Fairing Kit with new twin headlight will be £876 plus VAT(if in EU)
We expect the upgade kits for the tanks to be about £300,Fairing panels with twin headlight £340 approx

It seems like you're taking the time to work it out and get it right. That's great. Looking forward to the launch date. When it comes to upgrades for this bike-pipes, wheels, now this, it only seems to know two words: "Fifteen hundred". ($US).

Unfortunately the pound has been getting stronger actuallly...

But the tanks are really not that expensive if you get them from RRP Uk direct, in fact you will pay less than customers from the UK or Europe because you don't have to pay VAT, we do.

So it's not all bad.

Today,we finished CNC machining the last half of the rotational mould for the right-hand EVO 2 tank

This is a first for us for the new EVO 2 Adventure Kit.We have designed and manufactured,in house,a plastic injection moulded fairing clip.
The idea behind this is that in the event of a fall,instead of the previous design of stainless-steel bracket not breaking,and then possibly pulling out the moulded-in brass threaded inserts from the fuel tank,this plastic bracket should fracture and can be replaced easily without any further damage to the tanks.
Our second generation Adventure kit will have many improvements,based on feedback we receive from our race testing,and also from our customers,on their extensive trips.
