Beginners offroad ride - Brissy Northside - Sat 13 Oct
Hey everyone, my younger brother (BMW G650 XC) and myself (KTM 625 SXC) are fairly inexperienced off-road riders and are hoping to go for an easy ride on Saturday morning. Hoping to recruit the help of MickD who has an extensive knowledge of the area north of Brisbane.
Not looking for a huge group of beginners, but if you're more experienced and don't mind coming along to "smell the roses" while us noobs learn some new skills, we'd love to have you along. Anyone interested? ( I haven't set a route or meeting point as yet ) Route and meeting details further down thread (post #10) Young-gun-640 screwed with this post 10-10-2012 at 06:51 PM |

Might be interested in this one. Will have to see what the rest of the week brings.
Still getting the feel for the tiger so a nice cruisy ride will be about right for me. Remember that the Jamie Lord ride is starting from Dayboro on sat morning but they will be taking the tar route.

The way they are doing the Jamie ride is that they will be meeting at the Dayboro Showgrounds starting from 7 but not leaving for the ride until 11 (so 3 hrs of bench racing) and they are doing brekkie so you could pop in and have a look and a chat, grab some brekkie and then go for your dirt ride, what better way to spend a Sunday, you could even finsh your dirt ride at the Ettamogah Pub and turn up for a beer and the band.

I'm keen but am interstate at the moment and will have to see what the family has planned when I get home. Have ridden bikes on and off for years but am a noob when it comes to heavy dual sports (F650GS) on gravel. Will also have to swap out some worn Tourances when I get home. Will keep in touch. If I can't make it this Sat am real keen for something similar in the future.

Hi all
this is a easy ride,so come on you big bike adv'ers come out for a ride, all this ride will be on wide open fire trail roads. So,we will head down laceys creek road to the very bottom b4 heading into the bush.then follow it all the way to the gantry, we can then do a loop heading back to the gantry,or some of you might head home (via the road) or we could even go onto kilcoy or woodford, its up to you on the day i will be heading to dayboro from samford so if anyone would like to meet me on the day i will see you at the fuel station
