KTM 990 injection fuel pump reasonably priced.

This fuel pump originally made for cars is made in China. Chosen from a big manufacturer is undergone surgery. It ends up a nice fit in place of the original fuel pump. Rated at 3,5 bar at 90lit/h, pressure and quantity is adequate at all times while it costs 45€, shipment is free.

The elastic base which holds the fuel pump from turning when it starts and stops. The lower side of the fuel pump needs to fit in the rubber cavities. So some surgery was needed.

Original fuel pump (lower photo) compared to my version Chinese fuel pump (upper photo) after modifications.

Upper side of the pump had some extra plastic around the connections that needed removing. Here it is after surgery.

The shape of the original fuel pump differs slightly from the imitation so the smaller supporting cage is not functional. The outer larger cage needs some spacers in order to reach the aluminum pump nest, so longer bolts and nuts rectify that imperfection (included).

The bronze little pipe falls short now so an aluminum spacer flange is included to sit in the pipe's nest and keep it from bottoming. This way the pipe seals properly to both its ends.
So a complete set includes 2 longer bolts 1.5cm M5, one flange spacer in aluminum, 2 nuts and an o-ring 60X3 made of viton, sealing the fuel pump assembly, shown in the above picture since it usually gets damaged.

I also include a small o-ring at the intake of the pump to ensure sealing at intake.
Delivery time can take up to 22 days.
Payment is through paypal.

Cheers

Awesome !!

Thanks for singlehandedly delivering a one-to-one replacement for the FI pump + filters which cost a total of 500$+ from KTM

Do you make the modifications to the fuel pump before shipping, or is that something the buyer has to do? Are the second and third photos of your original post interchanged?

Thanks for heads up.

The modifications are made in order to make the aftermarket pump as plug and play as possible. I corrected the explanations under the pictures.
Cheers.

Way cool.
Found a 2010 990 with 3000 mi on it.
I don't think it will need a new pump but I like to look ahead.

I finally got around to installing mine. Easy and appears to function just fine. Somewhat louder during priming at key on than the stocker. Now I just have to decide whether to keep my 20k plus mile stocker as a spare or carry another of these. How hard is it to get the pipe spacer out I wonder?

Anyone have any problems with these now that there are some more out there ?
