Beautiful bike, but with those super low bars and rearsets, you would have to be made out of steel to tour on that. I doubt our local Ironman triathlon champion could tour on that.

Quite comfortable for me. I'm only 5'2" ish.. I've been fine. Now with the stock seat, it'll kill me. But the Corbin seat had been worth it.

Awesome refreshment of the bike, makes me think of getting one of these instead of a dual sport haha.
Cheers! |

Got my 2007 back in Dec 2009
![]() The idea was to have a dedicated track bike... But I only did 2 trackdays on it. Wrecked on the 2nd trackday and life has just gotten in the way since then. Terrific capable bike, WAY more capable than I am, I just never "clicked" with it. To this day I feel more confident, more comfortable riding my SV1000S hard than the CBR. ![]() And I'm keeping my SV1000S as my track bike, must find a new home for the CBR. ![]() But I can't get myself to do it. I've rode it less than 1,500 miles, and I'm perfectly aware that's not enough time to get to "bond" with a bike. ![]() It was very, VERY, hard for me to bond with the SV1000S, which I got 1 year after the CBR. It hasn't helped that the few times I've taken the CBR on the street "conditions" haven't been very good. Last time I got caught in a freaking storm and got a flat rear tire... Picture taken 30 minutes before the storm.

Slightly different setup, but granpa tours just fine two up as well. 3300km over 2 weeks and 99% camping.

Nothing mechanical really, just threw on a manual cam chain tensioner. The electrics are getting a bit weak, so it's probably time for a rec/reg or perhaps the stator. It's been good.

This year I purchased a 60 liter Overboard water proof duffel bag, I'll be using that this time. Sleeping bag, tent and all will be stored in there this time to keep it more secure & waterproof.

Taking it on it's first "real" trip this summer around lake Michigan. I've put a Corbin seat on it and will probably swap out the windscreen on it. I try to do a lot of the "photo tags" with it around Indiana in the summer.

That little guy was in the road, pulled off in the dirt to get him out of the road. I was happy he decided not to pee all over myself and the bike.
Your bike looks great by the way. I've been looking for quite a while for anyone that does the longer rides on a CBR. If you have any ride reports you've done...link me!
