Not into sports?

I will probably be out on the GS this Superbowl Sunday as I am a sports illiterate. OK I said it. Am I alone or is anyone else afflicted with this? Haven't ever watched a Superbowl. Not interested in any sports well maybe scubadiving in the South Pacific but not on television. Some in my family live and breathe sports. They are nice people but don't have much of a conversation about anything dealing with sports. Looking at me like I have two heads is usually what I see. Well while everyone is watching TV on Sunday I will be out on the GS on Historic 89A in Northern AZ with some sunscreen, and very little traffic.

I'm totally with you. I've played sports my whole life, but watching them doesn't excite me in the least. I'll watch the superbowl, but only between stuffing my face, my beer and getting distracted on advrider.

I argued a while ago that watching sports is only watching other people have fun; it's boring. You would have thought I spit on my buddy's mother, I got thoroughly chewed out for such a ludacris statement.

I went to a Giants football game last year, but it did nothing for me. I will say, the only time I enjoy watching live sports is on a nice summer day at Yankee Stadium. The energy/atmosphere makes me happy, but I could care less about the actual game.

Fenway Park once

Went to Fenway Park when I was a kid. Nice colors and beautiful field great sunny day, Jim Lamborg(sp?) Carl Yazstemski were playing but after that nothing, it was a grade school field trip. Good hot dogs though.

I call it the Supper Bowl. I am going to my buddy's house just for eats and drink his beer. His wife is an awesome cook. I have no clue what teams and their colors are.

If you see me on my 640A, make sure to give me the proper salute...

Stupiid Bowl Sunday is always a great day for non-sports people, as we have the whole world (America anyways) to ourselves! Used to be, I'd watch just to see the commercials but don't have to do that any more, so even better.

If I lived in AZ, I'd be out riding too.

Most ball sports and the way they're broadcast are boring as hell anyway (even regular season broadcasts). Taking three hours for four quarters is asinine to me even if I was jacked up about one of the teams. Layer in the attitudes of some professional players off the field (or court) and you can color me disinterested.

I hear its a good weekend to snag a deal on a TV.

I'd opt for watching a good hockey game or reviewing a SBK, MotoGP, Dakar or the 24 Hours of Daytona race.

I'm watching....

Too cold to ride and I'm a Baltimore fan, so I'll be watching the Super Bowl and cheering on the Ravens.

I will agree it would be cool to have weather warm enough to go riding thou.......damm winter...who needs it....

I watched one superbowl in 1977. They run some cool ads that you can find on Youtube afterwards.

I thought it was the Baltimore Colts?

What are the Ravens? A new team?

I read a thread about a woman who paid $5k+ for some non existent tickets on Craigslist so Ticketmaster sent her a couple of freebies, and she was a 49ers fan, so I guess they're playing.

I'll probably work some, and maybe go skiing. Should have the hill pretty much to myself.

I enjoy the game, and love the ads also, as I find marketing more interesting than sports generally.

Generally hate the halftime shows, especially when they fill the arena with smoke. They should just showcase new American talent in a mix of genres, and let the relics stay in the retirement home where they belong.

Although I did enjoy Janet's nipslip, Bruce's sliding crotch shot, and M.I.A.'s salute.

My wife is into football but i could not care less about it. i can watch it but I don't go out of my way to. If it is not raining we'll be riding up the coast for fish tacos and to see the South American Reef surfing championship, eat fish tacos and have an IPA at the new brewery before coming home and going to super bowl party, mostly for networking purposes.
My life totally does not suck.
