High Country Australia Video Warburton to Jamieson via Mount Terrible
http://youtu.be/KXKFpOp-efQ
My first effort with my GoPro3, a nice Christmas present. I have tried a little editing so I guess I will continue learning as I go along. We left from the bakery in Warburton Victoria early in the morning, on nice mild summers day, and rode the notorious Reefton Spur bitumen. Its a great piece of road and was a nice way to get the skills warmed up for the dirt to come. We rode the Big River Rd and then turned on to the rougher Hope Track, which has lots of spoon drains so speeds couldn't get too high. It's narrow as well and being a long weekend we were keeping a sharp eye out for 4wd's coming the other way! As we got closer to Mt Terrible the track got rougher and steeper, with some rocky sections testing us out on the heavier bikes. Due to the fires the views from the top of Mt Terrible were fairly hazy but still spectacular. We then headed down the mountain via the Poletti Track. This one is a ripper, with lots of steep, narrow track to test you out. We rolled into Jamieson in time to have lunch and a drink at the pub. It was getting warm and after a while we decided to hit the road home. We travelled some more bitumen on the Jamieson - Eildon Rd before turning onto the Eildon-Warburton Rd for the trip home. This road is narrow and a bit overgrown with some tight corners and rocky sections. It was a fun ride though and meets up with the Big River Road for the final dirt section before we rode down the Reefton Spur back to Warburton. Nice days riding covering around 300km all up.

Haha. Thanks guys. It will get better. I missed the best bits coz the battery ran out! The climb up the western side of Mt Terrible was a ripper and so was Poletti Track.
Cheers WH
