Look what I scored!

It doesn't come with a seat pan, but I don't care I have one.

I plan on cutting this down and getting the Russell Daylong grafted onto the pan.

I'll probably cut down the foam enough to accomadate the Russell and stitch the sides to the original sides of the higher original pan. I already have a nice original seat for it, so I can pretty much waste this one. I'll report when I start working on it. Gotta find that electric knife first.

Update, got the new chain and sprockets on.

Decided to take them out for a spin.

All in all, a productive day.

I love going through these threads! Especially when they dont stop halfway through with "I ran out of money, and i parked it in the garage".

An inspiration to all who have that one bike in the shed they havent looked at in years!

Thanks IC, I always did like a mechanical challenge.

I think as long as the bike has some sort of value to the owner, it's worth fixing. I too, feel bad about "blue tarp's diseased" bikes. This has been fun to work on as it's so simple and an unusual model I didn't even know existed. I'll be taking it out today to meet up with my brother for brunch and a ride. I've convinced him to ride his TDM even, a bit of a rare bike as well.

Today we had our "Patriots Ride" in celebration of the 4th of July. We gathered in Los Gatos Diner. These guys must have had the same idea.

We ride up highway 9 to Saratoga Gap and then north on highway 35. We stop at the overlook and admired the day.

A Bumblebee, not the Transformer variety either.

High mileage BMW. Better invest in some new rotors pal.

CDF was even on hand...

It was down highway 84 and through the cities of Redwood City and San Carlos for lunch. Sorry forgot to take pictures of my French Dip.

After lunch, we continued onto the Hiller Aviation Museum.

I actually got my Tempter dug out from the corner it was jammed into, and moved it to a much more accessable location. Sooner or later, I will turn my attention to it fully. Right now, I'm just getting the '69 BSA back together. Seeing these pics makes me want to get that Suzuki running again.

Jeep, just be extra careful with the chain adjuster. It's a self adjuster and it takes a little fiddling to get right. If not

to the engine. The guy with the Silverwing had one and it broke the timing chain. Just like mine was. Also, there was one on craigslist not long ago that had the same problem. Good luck.
