After trying to play race on my 2000 280 TXT and braking 3 spokes in the front rim I thought the fork was bent, got out the strait edge and seen it was strait? So I grabbed the front axle[seeing the front wheel is in the shop] and chucked it up in the ole lathe. Yep it seemed to be about 3/16" out. I turned it around and stuck the threaded end in and found the fat [pinch]end was out of round. So I turned it down. And now it spins free in the fork legs. I don't know if it will make any difference but it can't hurt.
Unless I crash it again.
