Southern AZ - Gunsight Pass

This track goes from Green Valley Arizona to Rosemont Junction via the ghost town of Helvetia (only some crumbling adobe left) and Gunsight Pass. If the current plans for the Rosemont Copper mine continue on track, this area will be completely destroyed over the next 20 years by a giant pit mine.

Ride it while you can (and write letters opposing the mine to whomever you can).

The route on the east side is nice, easy Arizona asphalt while the route on the west side is fairly challenging with steep slopes, rocky scree and ledges. There are also a few sections on the west side that are fairly chewed up by 4x4's so it's definitely a "buddy" ride.
